Spurs have a good defence in my opinion but their midfield and forward lines are very typical for a Premier League team. I’m expecting a win in this game given Spurs’ recent struggles plus the fact they tend to do worse at home. I don’t think they had a great transfer window. They didn’t replace Son for example and so Richarlison often plays off the left which isn’t his natural position. They also tend to sign decent but lightweight players like Simons and Kolo Muani- they’re very spursy signings. Part of the reason I’m hopeful for us is I watched Spurs play Arsenal away earlier in the season and they were completely outclassed. That’s what happens when a team is better than you in every position. Heres to hoping for the same from us.

My Lineup:

  • GK- Alisson
  • RB- Bradley
  • CBR- Konate
  • CBL- Van Dijk
  • LB- Kerkez
  • CDM- Gravenberch
  • CMR- Szoboszlai
  • CML- Jones
  • RW- Chiesa
  • LW- Wirtz
  • ST- Ekitike

With Gomez injured and Bradley back from suspension I expect him to start today. I believe Frimpong is back which is encouraging but given how long he’s been out for he won’t be fit enough to start. I’m backing Jones to start ahead of Mac Allister given his impressive form recently. With Salah at AFCON and Gakpo injured I’m hopeful that Chiesa might finally get a start in the league. I’d be happy with him playing on either flank but given Wirtz’s preference for the left wing I’ve put him on the right. Ekitike is in great form too so I’ve backed him ahead of Isak. If Isak was in better form I’d have been tempted to play him ahead of Chiesa as a striker with Wirtz as CAM behind both strikers (a diamond formation like we played away at Inter).
