1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to LiverpoolVerse. By accessing or using this website (https://liverpool-verse.com), you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms or the Privacy Policy then do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

LiverpoolVerse is a blog and fan community for supporters of Liverpool Football Club. We are not affiliated directly or indirectly with Liverpool Football Club as an organization or any of it's partners or subsidiaries. We provide:

• Articles, news and analyses related to Liverpool Football Club.
• Interactive content including: player ratings, lineup selections, polls and comments (also related to Liverpool Football Club).

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access interactive features (anything that isn't static content), you must create an account through one of our supported authentication providers (Facebook, X or Google). By creating an account, you guarantee that:

• You meet the requirements of the authentication provider that you choose- including but not limited to age restrictions.
• The information you provide is accurate and complete.
• You will maintain the security of your account.
• You are a Liverpool FC supporter.

3.2 Quiz Requirement

New users must pass a Liverpool FC knowledge quiz to complete registration. This helps to filter out trolls and helps to ensure our community consists of genuine Liverpool supporters. We store information about all quiz attempts regardless of whether you pass or fail. This includes your email and the date and time of the attempt as well as information needed to complete the sign-up if you pass the quiz including your name and profile picture URL. This is to ensure that the same user cannot attempt the quiz twice within a 12 hour period. This information is routinely purged on at least a weekly basis. We only care about recent quiz attempts.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts for these reasons or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your email will be stored for up to 5 years to prevent re-registration.

4. User Conduct

As deemed by us, you agree not to:

• Post content that is offensive, discriminatory, hateful or harassing.
• Insult, demean or denigrate any member of our community.
• Impersonate any other person or entity.
• Spam or post repetitive content.
• Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with our services.
• Use automated systems or bots without permission.
• Share false or misleading information.
• Engage in any illegal activities.

Failure to meet any of these standards will likely result in a ban (for up to 5 years as detailed in our Privacy Policy). By using the site at all as a signed-in user you accept that you may be banned for a perceived breach of these rules and that in that scenerio your email will be stored on a banned list for up to 5 years to prevent re-registration.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All articles, images, graphics, and other content provided by LiverpoolVerse are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

5.2 User-Generated Content

By posting comments, lineup selections, player ratings, polls or other content on LiverpoolVerse, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to: use, display, and distribute your content on our platform. We reserve the right to associate your account information (email address, name and profile picture) with any content that you participate in. This should only be visible to other users if you post a comment. You retain ownership of your content but are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share it.

5.3 Third-Party Content

We may embed content from third parties (such as Getty Images). These materials are subject to their respective owners' terms of use and copyright (see Privacy Policy for details).

6. Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of LiverpoolVerse is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. You may delete all data we hold about you on the My Account page. This link will only work if you're signed in. If you are banned from our service then we reserve the right to store your email address for up to 5 years as part of our proactive moderation efforts. As a football club fan site we are a target for trolls and malicious actors so we take these measures to help protect our platform.

7. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with third-party authentication providers (Facebook, X and Google) and uses Google ReCaptcha as well for any sign-up attempts. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies (see Privacy Policy for details).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Liverpool Verse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any content posted by users or for any decisions you make based on the information found on our site (like betting for example).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiverpoolVerse and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiverpoolVerse and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our community standards as well as ban the users who are responsible for such violations (for up to 5 years).

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of LiverpoolVerse after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. You will be able to see when the page was last updated at the top of the page to see if you need to review the terms again. We encourage you to review these Terms of Service periodically to stay informed about our policies and practises.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
